Getting started
Set up your EkiBoard
Four steps, about five minutes. Have your Wi-Fi password ready, and the phone you want to set it up from.
Open app.ekiboard.comPlug it in and hold the button
Connect the USB-C cable, then press and hold the button until the screen asks you to connect. The board creates a Wi-Fi network of its own, named EkiBoard- followed by six characters.
Connect it to your Wi-Fi
On your phone, join that EkiBoard network. A setup page opens on its own — pick your own network from the list, enter its password, and save. The board reconnects by itself, and its own network disappears once it has.
Enter the pairing code
The board shows an eight-character code. Go to app.ekiboard.com, sign in, and type the code in to claim the board as yours.
Pick your station
Choose the station and the lines you actually travel. Your departures appear on the next update, usually within a minute.
Troubleshooting
If something doesn't go to plan
Some phones don't open it automatically. Open a browser and visit any address — the setup page appears instead. Check first that you are still connected to the EkiBoard network.
The board only broadcasts it while it's waiting to be set up. Hold the button again until the screen confirms, then refresh the Wi-Fi list on your phone.
The board joins 2.4 GHz networks. If your router publishes 2.4 GHz and 5 GHz under separate names, choose the 2.4 GHz one.
Codes expire after 24 hours. The board shows a fresh one on its next update — use that code instead.
The board redraws once a minute while your trains are running, and rests outside those hours to save battery. Outside your commute window it shows when it will next update.
